Kansas Small Business Development Center at Seward County Community College is located at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School in Liberal, Kansas. Two outreach centers for the Kansas SBDC at SCCC are located in Dodge City, Kansas, based at Dodge City Ford County Development Corporation, and in Garden City, Kansas. Currently the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Kansas Small Business Development Center teams serve the following counties: Grant, Gray, Haskell, Meade, Morton, Stanton, Stevens, Seward, Finney, Greeley, Hamilton, Kearny, Lane, Scott, Wichita, Clark, Comanche, Edwards, Ford, Hodgeman, Kiowa, and Ness.
These include the following major communities: Ulysses, Lincoln Township, Cimarron, Montezuma, Sublette, Satanta, Meade, Elkhart, Johnson City, Hugoton, Liberal, Garden City, Holcomb, Tribune, Syracuse, Coolidge, Lakin, Deerfield, Dighton, Scott City, Leoti, Ashland, Minneola, Englewood, Coldwater, Protection, Kinsley, Dodge City, Ford, Jetmore, Greensburg, Haviland, Mullinville, Ness City, and all other communities that are in the counties listed above.
The Kansas SBDC at SCCC is a REGIONAL resource and support center for the small business person. Any individual interested in starting a small business or any existing small business firm may receive assistance from the Kansas SBDC. There are no charges associated with one-on-one counseling. Fees may be charged for costs associated with training courses.
Services that are provided by this center can be found here. Some examples include business planning, loan prep, and market research; as well as continued services throughout the client process. Any small business owner, manager, or employee can register for seminars and workshops that are offered through the center.
